This exciting overnight trip starts at about 4 pm at The San Diego Wild Animal Park in Escondido. It's like a fulfillment of a fantasy! After the zoo closes, we get to stay there all night in East Africa! They provide comfortable tents, meals, night guided tours, hands-on animal demos, a morning monorail tour for our group alone, and free admission for the park for the entire next day.
We will be joined on this trip by students from Professors Janet Fulks', Isabel Stierle's, and Joe Saldivar's Biology 11 classes and Professor Andrea Garrison's Biology 20 classes. We had a great time last year and we're looking forward to doing it again.
Scheduled this year for Friday, October 1st and Saturday, October 2nd. You will
want to car pool for the long drive. Plan on leaving Bakersfield about 11am
Friday and leaving SanDiego about noon (or later if you wish) on Saturday.
