Ecology of the Mojave Desert

Date: Tentatively, about 7:30 am to about 2:00 pm.

This one day trip to the Mojave Desert and the Desert Tortoise Wildlife Preserve will focus on the special adaptations of desert flora and fauna. In fall we have observed hundreds of migrating Tarantulas and a Mojave Green rattlesnake. Spring brought Desert Tortoises, Wildflowers, horned toads and lizards. We'll be leaving about 7:30am and be returning to Bakersfield about 2 pm. Exact times, directions, what to bring will be given to you later.

Cost: About $5.00 or less plus gas.
